About the Role:
Are you a visionary leader passionate about driving sustainability initiatives and ready to make a significant impact? We're seeking a dynamic individual to lead the delivery of our Sustainability Action Plan across our multi-site organisation.
The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Support the development and lead the implementation of actions through our next 3-year Sustainability Action Plan
Create, implement and monitor strategies, using fit for purpose tools and systems that meet group targets and encourages operational buy in and best practice
Assess, analyse and collate environmental performance data and reporting information
Present data across all Scopes for internal and external reports, including Group Sustainability Reports, SECR
Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement and communicate our Sustainability Action Plan
Design and deliver educational or informational resources which inspire and motivate our internal staff
Chair and further develop our established Sustainability Working Group
Network and horizon scan for emerging sustainable development opportunities through the aerospace industry
Strive to develop a culture of sustainability through environmental stewardship
Line management and support of the Environmental Manager
About you:
We are looking for someone who has:
Proven experience and understanding of sustainability and environmental aspects, ideally from a similar industry
Deep understanding of ESG principles, frameworks and best practices
Project management and organisational skills to manage projects and activity implementation and delivery
Communication and presentation skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the group
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change
Knowledge of environmental compliance and ISO 14001 beneficial
At least three years’ experience in a senior ESG related role
Degree/equivalent vocational qualification in environment and/or sustainability subject
Ideally IEMA qualified
Full UK driving licence
