AWE are looking for a Surety Systems Analyst to join the Warhead Engineering team.This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse team of people with an important mission to deliver. The role comes with excellent benefits including every other Friday off work!Location: Reading (role is office based)Salary: £35,720- £51,000 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)Closing Date: 05th June 2024 The Role? The AWE Surety Group is developing an enhanced capability to holistically assess safety, security and dependability to advise our customers and develop balanced and verifiable system architectures, by capturing and translating stakeholder vision into system and sub-system requirements, developing concepts, system architectures and the tools and techniques to analyse them.Key Accountabilities Capability to holistically assess safety, security and dependability of current and replacement systems.Advises on strategies for the development of design surety assessments to understand competing requirements of safety, security and dependability.Completes complex surety analyses, assessments and associated documentation.Provides advice and guidance to users of the assessments.Develops and delivers design surety system options within projects and programmes.Advise on designing for surety during the product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver Systems Engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard.Effective stakeholder management, engaging others in order to complete the tasks.Task manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver required engineering solutions.Expand engineering skills and experience relevant to engineering domain.Take ownership of own training and development.The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.We are interested in hearing from candidates who are curious with a desire to learn and understand new things.You will have the ability to consider the big picture whilst recognising the detail and to appreciate interactions between elements of the system.You should be a strong communicator, able to interact with a range of stakeholders to both discover and share key information.You will bring an understanding of your own domain and be keen to apply it to help influence the system solution.Familiarity in applying systems engineering processes, methods and techniques is highly desirable as is an appreciation of project management and control, safety and dependability.To be considered for the role, you must have an HNC / HND or higher qualification in an engineering discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment.What will you get from us?
