Purpose of the role

  • Manage a team to achieve excellence in all activities.
  • Lead and manage the provision of a quality housing service that delivers and focuses on positive customer satisfaction, meeting the needs and aspirations of customers that require supported housing provision

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality assurance checks regularly both office-based and on site.
  • Be responsible for management, coordination and control of allocated resources to ensure the delivery of excellent housing services and ensuring that all aspects such as quality, tenancy conduct, ASB, nuisance, rent recovery and resident involvement services are delivered to the highest standards in line with customer needs, expectations whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, legislation and the law.
  • Regularly review and manage through One 2 One and appraisals individual and team performance making appropriate interventions and taking action promptly where required.
  • To contribute effectively to the development of the Board objectives, ensuring ownership of responsibilities and targets to the small operational team.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational requirements for GDPR, risk management, safeguarding, fire safety, health & safety and other legal and statutory requirements along with best practice and general duty of care.
  • Support the recruitment process, to interview, induct, train, develop and manage staff to ensure effective service delivery and customer service.

Key Skills

  • Social Housing: 5 years (preferred).
  • Housing Benefit: 2 years (preferred).
  • Ability to come on site 5 days a week.
  • Experience of working with customers with learning difficulties, mental health diagnosis and physical health conditions.
  • Experience of managing staff.
