An experienced Help Desk / First Line Support Engineer is sought for a client based in Wigan. Due to new business wins, the business is investing in their Support Team to expand their ranks to support their growing client base.
As a Support Engineer you’ll have access to the opportunity to obtain professional certifications which will also see your base salary rise as well.
As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will respond to email and phone support requests to maintain the effective operation of the clients IT systems to an agreed service level. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing reactive and proactive maintenance activities. Other responsibilities / duties include:
Provide IT support to customers
Be the first point of contact within IT and provide first time fixes where possible
Handle telephone calls and managing tickets via customer portal
Handover incidents that can’t be resolved to 1st / 2nd Line Team as required
To be considered for the role you must:
Have experience working as a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer providing phone, email and deskside support – ideally in a high-volume environment
Working knowledge of:
Windows Operating Systems – Win7 / Win10 / O365
Microsoft Application Support – Outlook / Word / Excel
Active Directory / Exchange
Hardware Support – Desktops / Laptops / Printers
