As our Support Worker with Young People Services, youll be at the heart of supporting our customers aged 16+ leaving foster care or at risk of homelessness. You will help to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. Youll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know!
Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)
We are Ofsted Registered! You will be working within the Ofsted guidance.
Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans.
Customer group aged 16+ leaving care.
Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
Cuppas, chats and catch ups. Theres no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.
