Supply Planning Manager

Job Title: Demand Panning Manager  
Location: Field Based (M62 Corridor)
Salary: £65,000 Plus Car Plus Bonus  
Role: Permanent 

OVERVIEW

This Demand Planning Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to play a leading part in a market-leading, high growth business within its sector.
The Supply Planning processes include key component planning, production planning, line scheduling, deployment planning and transportation planning (PMP).
The Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring flawless supply of product to fill orders with optimal inventory levels and minimal cost.
The Manager will also identify and drive improvement initiatives such as simplification, standardization, technology, cost savings and team development.
The supply planning processes include: 

Key responsibilities/deliverables

• Drive the S&OP process for the Supply Review meetings.
• Production planning accuracy using IBP systems.
• Sub-Contracting Management.
• Deliver exceptional service.
• Drive down Inventory.
• Drive day-to-day supply chain performance (fill rate, inventory, turns, E&O, freight-in, PMP, schedule compliance, manufacturing volume targets)
• New item launch tracking
• Ad Hoc projects
• Drive data and attendance at monthly all S&OP meetings as well as coordinating European activities.

• Lead the planning function on best future strategy for business efficiency.
• Liaising with Operations and Supply Chain through strategic project management

• Drive a working relationship with the Demand Planning Team to deliver seamless communications across the wider business.

• Facilitate EU MBR calls for EU supply.
• Creation of RCCP’s in line with business strategy to drive efficiency and creation of new ways of
• Define and shape Supply planning team in line with business needs & requirements.
• Creation of schedule adherence plans and production outputs for tracking and monitoring

 Key behaviours/skills

• Previous experience of leading a a planning team in manufacturing
• Proven ability to articulate and implement a compelling business vision and able to engage at all levels
• Good understanding of operational P&L and capital investment
• Demonstrable experience of leading change and implementing modern manufacturing methodologies and systems/continuous improvement, lean management practices
• Experience of working within a multi-customer supply chain
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, analytical skills, and attention to detail, to include comprehensive understanding of legislative audits
