Our client is a growing business and has an opportunity for a Supply Planner to work within their Supply Chain Team.

The Supply Planner will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Planner to ensure stock availability for the UK and European operations. They will work closely with suppliers and freight forwarders and manage the purchasing process and logistics.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Raising and placing purchase orders with Suppliers against ERP requirements
  • Prioritise incoming shipments and arrange transport for collection
  • Ensure all systems are updated with delivery dates, pricing updates and order acknowledgements
  • Manage inventory levels and agreed inventory holdings by analysing demand, forecast and trends
  • Proactively communicate supplier issues relating to stock shortages, lead times and quality
  • Build strong working and collaborative working relationships with suppliers and monitor performance
  • Update systems when shipments leave suppliers and identify any potential bottlenecks
  • Produce open order book, inventory and KPI reports

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • Experience of working in a supply chain role - planning/logistics/purchasing
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced environment within a growing and evolving business
  • Can build strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • ERP/MRP system experience
  • Advanced Excel skills - VLook ups, pivot table and formulas
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Positive mindset teamed with bags of drive and enthusiasm
