Manufacturing & Supply Chain Team Leader

Due to new projects and Clients Belcan have a fantastic Opportunity for a Manufacturing & Supply Chain Team Leader, based at either the Belcan Bristol, Derby or Cheltenham Office on a Hybrid basis.

The Manufacturing & Supply Chain Team Leader is the local leader and focal point for the group delivering Manufacturing & Supply Chain based projects. The role has a strong focus on improving cost, quality, and delivery for manufacturers by relying on disciplines that include Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Delivery, Buying, Planning, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Turnarounds, and Plant and Part Transitions. The Team Leader will serve as the focus for technical governance and support to the team.

It is expected that the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team and their Team Leader are involved in a variety of activities which may include technical sales, statement of work architecture, proposal writing, staffing and recruiting, project execution and governance. It is expected that the Team Leader will be comfortable working in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering Service environment and will be able to balance the technical responsibilities inherent within the role, with the commercial and project timescale associated with delivery.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with customer technical focal points as required
  • On-Time, On-Budget delivery in accordance with customer quotations
  • Maximises billability of team
  • Avoids overspend and write-offs
  • Identifies & implements cost savings (internal & customer)
  • Manages change
  • Signs off customer deliverables
  • Agrees and defines deliverables for customer quotations
  • Supervises team members, and the planning of day to day activities
  • Identifies training requirements for team members
  • Provides inputs to and support PDRs
  • Identifies opportunities within their team's activities that align with the functional offshoring strategy

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree from a University or Technical College in related field
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing and supply chain environment
  • Experienced in a service -based business
  • Experienced in Automotive or Aerospace Supply Chains
