Our client, a leading oil service and logistics company, has an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
Based at the Dyce office the Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for defining and implementing supply chain strategies for allocated categories, taking responsibility for the associated tenders, negotiation, agreement implementation and supplier performance.
Key Duties will include:
Develop and document commodity strategies for assigned categories. Combine the identification of suitable suppliers with an analysis of company spend to develop a picture of the supply market landscape, conditions and associated business risks/opportunities.
In accordance with developed strategies responsible for compiling, issuing, and co-ordinating all tender activity to third-party suppliers. Will lead the detailed quantitative and qualitative tender evaluation, liaising with key internal stakeholders to evaluate tenders, before seeking and obtaining necessary approvals to award contract in line with DOA.
Responsible for negotiating and implementing supplier agreements, targeting commercial optimisation to ensure best value. Additionally responsible for, updating and issuing contract amendments, ensuring the supplier contract database is maintained and frame agreement/contract amendment summary sheets are up-dated.
Responsible for key supplier performance and relationship management including regular business review meetings, underpinned by effective KPIs.
Establish effective relationships with colleagues and suppliers ensuring a strong communication flow and pro-active approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level or offer equivalent experience. A CIPS Qualification, Global exposure with experience of supporting and engaging remote locations, applying group tools and policies and knowledge of MS Dynamics AX 2012 or similar ERP or procurement systems is highly desirable.
