The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for tactical internal order management readiness for the MPP and Detailed Schedule. This role executes specific tasks associated with pre-production readiness, while coordinating other tasks. The Supply Chain Specialist tracks required activities, identifies gaps, and follows up accordingly to ensure successful and timely completion. Escalates to the Value Stream Leader (as needed) to ensure cross-functional completion of content / activities required to release the orders on time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains a working knowledge of the MPP and Detailed Schedule for assigned sites and resources.Works with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure pre-production readiness. Identifies potential issues and expedites activities that may otherwise delay or alter schedules. Escalates accordingly.Releases work orders to the packaging floor (including project work orders).Executes activities as required to support pre-production readiness (i.e. ensuring on-time bulk and component releases.)Performs QAD tasks as directed by supervision.Partners with VSL to ensure maintenance of the Structures/Routers and BOMs for pre-production items and recurring production.Partners with Account Management to ensure timely completion of Lot number and expiry forms.Maintains regular communication with Detailed Schedulers to ensure awareness and transparency of any issues or changes.Performs other associated tasks as directed by supervision. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) preferred. Related experience and/or education may be considered.Supply Chain Certification (APICS / IBF) desirable.Planning or manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Contract Manufacturing or Packaging is preferred.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint & Word.Ability to work on-site five days per week. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND REASONING ABILITY Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.Strong organizational skills.Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment with appropriate sense of urgency.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team.Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.About Us
