Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a supply chain manager for a leading private aviation MRO in the Oxfordshire area.



Our client work in the corporate jet sector buying and selling some of the most prestigious aircraft in the world as well as offering their services as a leading MRO. 



The Supply chain Manager will to lead their ever expanding purchasing and parts department with a view to instiling structure and increasng the the value of this deparment withing the business,



Candidates will require previous aviation experience, preferably MRO or Part 145. 



The responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following:




  • Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and parts sales to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company’s goals and market demands, including sustainability initiatives and risk management plans.

  • Detailed market scanning and analysis to identify suitable supply chain partners and opportunities

  • Identify and realise monetisation opportunities for residual stock

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to secure favourable terms and ensure a reliable and comprehensive supply of parts and services.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to forecast demand and plan supply chain activities accordingly.

  • Reassess the current Aerotrac Implementation and create plans to improve visibility, tracking, and optimisation of operations.

  • Lead and manage the stores team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to build a high-performing team.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain activities, including environmental and safety standards.

  • Spearhead initiatives to identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier diversification, inventory management strategies, and contingency planning for disruptions.

  • Coaching and mentoring direct reports and other team members to foster a high-performance culture
