Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading company offering essential products to the oil and gas sector, to recruit a Supply Chain Lead. This position is based in Great Yarmouth, with the opportunity to work from home two days per week.

The strategically important Supply Chain Lead role comes with a salary of £45,000- £60,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities and duties
Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, will be responsible for:

· Procure goods and service, gathering quotes from suppliers, factoring in cost, specification and delivery.

· Negotiate purchase orders,

· Ensuring delivery promises are maintained to the clients.

· Assist with bid enquires

· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

· To expedite orders in line with PO requirements.

· To attend supplier meetings and audits.

· Support the accounts department with any invoicing issues.

· Keep supplier documentation up to date.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

· Experience of working in a procurement/ supply chain position

· User experience of ERP systems, Navision or Armada is desirable

· 5 GCSEs or equivalent

Personal skills

The Supply Chain Lead role would suit someone who is:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Strong Negotiation skills

· Commercial awareness

· Organised and able to plan work load

Salary and benefits of the Mechanical Technician role

· Salary of £45,000-£60,000(DOE)

· Pension

· 26 days holiday, plus BHs (increasing to 30 after 5 years)

· Life assurance x 3
