Job DescriptionJob PurposeTo lead and co-ordinate the commercial strategy of our Supply Chain function in ASW H&B UK (Superdrug & Savers).As an experienced Supply Chain/Logistics Category/Procurement Manager, you will take the lead for all the commercial & contractual elements of our Supply Chain function. Working closely with the Procurement, Legal & Finance functions you will undertake tendering, evaluation, procurement, and monitoring of a portfolio of contracts. Working collaboratively in designing and managing tenders that will identify cost-effective and efficient solutions while working within the relevant regulatory and internal governance frameworks.The role will include responsibility for securing both UK & Hong Kong Investment Committee (IC) approvals.Key Responsibilities· Manage a portfolio of Supply Chain contracts to ensure the business remains compliant with date management, approved expenditure and risk mitigation.· Responsible for designing and developing a Category strategy for the Supply Chain function with relevant stakeholder approval.· Establish business and contractual requirements by partnering with the relevant operational contract owner.· Collaborate in designing tenders and IC presentation packs that will identify cost-effective and efficient solutions while working within the relevant regulatory and internal governance frameworks.· Work collaboratively and take the lead with the Distribution, Procurement, Finance and Legal teams both in the UK and Hong Kong at each stage of the contract approval process both from UK & Hong Kong IC.· Work collaboratively with Finance and Legal teams to share information and instruct on cases requiring input and support.· Ensure that all contracts are established (or renewed) in a timely manner across all relevant milestones.· Establish and grow relationships with an external network across suppliers in Supply Chain industry, including but not limited to 3PLs, technology providers and equipment manufacturers.· Strong understanding of trends in the Supply Chain sector that will influence business requirements both in the short and long term.· Support the development and on-going compliance in the use of Procurement, Legal and Finance tools, templates, reports and systems.· Demonstrating commercial acumen and experience in commercial negotiations to secure the best deals available.· Provide active support, advice, and coordination across Supply Chain in contract management and, where necessary, manage contracts that have cross-service implications.· Maintain a thorough knowledge of current procurement, tender and contract management practices/ legislation, identifying opportunities within the market to evaluate potential service improvements, evaluate risk and reward opportunities, and pursue potential cost savings.· Review and share information to ensure an accurate UK procurement contract log and feed into the visibility of upcoming contract expiry dates, break options and potential savings opportunities.· Establish, maintain, and review contract performance indicators and SLA’s; undertaking continual contract benchmarking throughout the duration of the contract period.· Work with the Legal department to ensure that final contracts accurately reflect the commercial terms approved by the IC in the UK and HK.· To support the wider Supply Chain team in forecasting and budgeting.· To support the wider Supply Chain & Distribution team in improving their business partnering skills.Key requirements· Significant Supply Chain experience which includes ownership of commercial performance and contract accountability.· Strong knowledge of procurement processes.· Commercial acumen· Project management and negotiation experience· Strong communication and time management skills· Experience of preparing and analysing organisational and project-specific spends and costings· Strong Distribution, Logistics and Supply Chain background· Experience of working with international stakeholders· Attention to detail· Excellent Microsoft Office skills· Presentation experience to senior stakeholders· Ability to build both verbal and written business casesAdditional Requirements· Self motivated· Ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders in a positive way.· Team worker who builds positive relationships with team members and stakeholders· Enthusiastic· Confident· Resilient under pressure· Strong attention to detail· Flexible· CIP qualification (not essential)
