Agratas are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer based on a hybrid basis from our Coventry office to support the construction and industrialisation of our recently announced state-of-the-art, multi-billion-pound battery manufacturing facility near Bridgwater in Somerset. Using your expertise and knowledge within the automotive, engineering or industrial manufacturing industries your role will support the delivery of one of the largest ever investments in the UK automotive sector.
Key Duties:
Supplier Assessment : new / potential supplier evaluation, ensuring the supplier sites meet all requirements for manufacturing quality.
Continuous Improvement : work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for all supplied parts.
Problem Resolution : investigating quality issues, non-conformances and production problems.
New Products : manage the APQP process, working with Engineering and the supplier to meet all QCD requirements.
On-Site Support : provide technical assistance to solve concerns and improve processes.
PPAP : manage all aspects of PPAP document delivery and approval, capacity confirmation and Run at Rate.
Qualifications/Experience:
Knowledge of automotive, or similar industry, production methods and supply chain such as metal stamping, welding and plastic injection moulding.
Proven experience of auditing production processes to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
Thorough knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and 8D processes and methodologies.
Strong analytical, attention to detail and communication skills.
