Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Slough
Purpose
Responsible for maintaining, controlling, and ensuring the quality performance of all suppliers through the implementation of supplier reviews, regular recorded conversations, and surveillance activities.
Ensure that all supplier nonconformities are examined and, if necessary, escalated using the proper processes to promote strong RCCA and improvement programmes.
Maintain and complete a supplier audit schedule in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
Drive towards enhanced supplier quality performance by developing measurements for important processes and agreed targets.
Provide feedback on supplier performance through regular internal KPI evaluations.
Duties
Provide Quality interpretation of requirements to suppliers and relevant departments.
Manage and support the supplier quality interface and ensure that all supplier quality issues and non-conformances are managed to an agreed timescale.
Report regularly on the quality performance of the supply chain.
Co-ordinate the
and deployment of Metrics to support business requirements.
First Article Inspection (FAI) support to any modifications or supplier transfer activities if required.
Engage with suppliers and plan and discharge a supplier review process, covering all quality aspects. This should drive quality improvements in the supply chain and should also drive implementation of APQP on all programs.
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review (MRB) dispositions for non-conformances.
Perform Internal audits to ensure Maintenance of QMS to AS9100
Requirements
Proven experience in Supplier Quality – working directly with suppliers and supplier management.
Proven experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation.
Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
