Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Sepura Quality team. 03rd April, 2024 Overview:Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Sepura Quality team. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be involved in developing, monitoring and improving quality within the supply chain and be responsible for reporting on supplier quality performance to internal stakeholders. You will both lead and support activities related to supplier quality and carry out audits and inspections, providing regular performance reports to ensure continuous improvement. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and determined individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and not shy away from a challenge. You will be able to work well in a team as well as independently, be a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail. Supplier Quality is a key focus area for us, and we are looking to establish new process controls and quality measures which this role will take a lead on. For this reason, we are looking for an experienced SQE who can, in this regard, demonstrate their achievements and successes as part of the application. Your day to day:Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Supplier Quality activities you will be responsible for include:Develop, establish and maintain new process controls and quality measures for Supplier Quality.Work with the Procurement and Engineering teams to define quality requirements on the supply chain.Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to continually achieve a high level of performance.Report on supplier quality performance, on a monthly basis, highlighting changes in performance and recommending opportunities for improvement.Carry out Quality Control inspections according to internal requirements and be responsible for the quality approval of product and component releases to manufacture.Responsible for handling supplied material non-conformities, supporting the RCA and CAPA activities and ensuring on time closure of NCRs / SCARs.Establish, deliver and maintain the annual supplier audit programme.Carry out internal and supplier audits in accordance with the audit programmes.Support and mentor other business functions and supply chain in the successful use of Quality tools.Support the creation and implementation of quality plans.Support the team in delivering Quality assigned actions and tasks.Support SPC and MSA activities as and when required.

The successful applicant will need to be confident travelling independently and have a full, clean driving licence and their own car. Travel expenses will be paid. What you will need to succeed:QualificationsMinimum HND in an engineering related subject (Electronics/mechanical/software) or equivalent experience in a similar role.Certification in a recognised Quality Standard (e.g., IRCA Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).Essential Experience and SkillsDemonstratable knowledge of working within quality management frameworks and familiarity with the principles of the latest ISO 9001 standard.Extensive experience in managing suppliers across a global supply chain and driving continuous improvement.Experience in supplier assessments, including compliance requirements, and audits in accordance with industry standards (i.e. ISO 9001, VDA 6.3).Strong knowledge and understanding of SMT production lines.Experience of working with ERP systems and PLM systems with extensive BoM.Strong auditor experience and able to confidently conduct both internal and supplier audits.A track record in applying best practices tools and techniques as part of developing evidence-based root cause analysis into technical and process improvements to deliver effective and permanent corrective and preventive actions.Experience in applying a continuous improvement methodology and tools for data driven decisions within a product development environment.Experience of implementing quality practices that demonstrate the understanding and application of industry best practices and how to apply relevant scalable processes.Strong communication and presentation skills and able to communicate effectively and collaboratively with teams at all levels within and outside the organisation.Desirable Experience and SkillsExperience of working within the Electronics or Communications industry.Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma techniques and methodologies, including PPAP and APQP.Able to lead teams with good interpersonal relationship building and coaching skills.Ability to recognise and understand complex interactions between processes within the business to be able to facilitate change.Knowledge and qualifications to cyber security requirements would be an advantage (i.e. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials)Knowledge and understanding of ATEX requirements would be considered valuable.Experience with using Sharepoint, Q-Pulse, JIRA or Minitab would be an advantage.Your benefits:Flexible working hoursPension, dental care and healthcareSupport of staff wellbeingDiscounted gym membershipSubsidised Hub on site restaurantLarge, free car parking on site and electric car charging pointsSocial events and activitiesApply For Job
