Job DescriptionAt LEX, were recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer who is experienced in Supplier Management within the molecular biology industry and confident at dealing with products subject to FDA inspections. Your role will be is important to the team as, you’ll support with supplier evaluation and management to determine who the best vendors and suppliers are for the business.LEX Diagnostics is an ambitious, well-funded point-of-care diagnostics business. You can read more about LEX here.As the Supplier Quality Engineer at LEX, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our supply chain operations and contribute to the advancement of diagnostic solutions that will improve patient outcomes.What you will be doing:Evaluate and qualify suppliers and vendors based on defined criteria, including quality standards, regulatory compliance, and performance metrics.Ensure we have the appropriate NDA’s (non-disclosure agreements) and SQA’s (Supply Quality Agreements) in place with suppliers.Work in collaboration with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams on incoming product inspections.Manage first article inspection reports (FAIR) and resolve any supply-related issues promptly.Coordinate the handling of non-conforming materials with suppliers and initiate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as needed.Initiate and document complaints and deviations with suppliers as necessary.Skills and experience required to be successful in this position:Experienced in Supplier Evaluation and Management methodologies and practices.Confident in conducting Supplier audits of Supplier Quality Management Systems. Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with suppliers to resolve issues related to non-conforming material deliveries.Skilled in performing thorough incoming goods inspection and testing using various hand tools and equipment.Strong documentation and communication skills in diverse team environments.If you possess previous experience using Sales force with Dot Compliance, then this would be beneficial but is not essential.LEX Diagnostics is part of TTP Group, an employee-owned business.
