Some potential hybrid working subject to operational needsSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Discretionary BonusJOB SUMMARYIf you are meticulous and passionate Supplier Quality Engineer, you may be the person we are looking for to fill this unique and challenging role!Working with the Quality Team, the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will have extensive supplier development experience within the defence sector or similar and relevant production environment Supplier Quality Assurance skills. The role is demanding and includes a significant element of supplier development and improvement activity within the supply chain.BENEFITSDiscretionary Half Year BonusesHolidays – 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Holiday Purchase SchemeTwo weeks paid leave for Reservists and Cadets to attend yearly training/campPaid leave for employees who are Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs)Pension – ER/EE – 3%/5% = 8% combinedPlease note: If successful, you will be required to sign the Official Secrets Act and successfully pass the necessary checks before you can begin your employment with NP Aerospace.MAIN JOB DUTIESStrong knowledge of supplier development techniques and execution.Understanding and interpretation of Mechanical and Electrical engineering drawings.Lead and undertake supplier audits and report on Key Performance Indicators through objective assessments of supply chain performance and product quality.Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing
manufacturing/technology
capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks.Carryout and coach the supplier base in Material Review Boards, Root Cause Corrective Action, Non-Conformance Management, design, and development phases of programmes and support the link between Goods-In and the relevant manufacturing facility.Work with inhouse Engineering, Design and Manufacturing departments to define process parameters ensuring that supplier process capability is effective to meet design intent.Support the Product Introduction Management process to ensure that the supplier chain can meets the required standards.Knowledge and experience of coaching and developing internal and external stakeholders in Quality Assurance Tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, First Article Inspection Reports and Part Submission Warrants.Working knowledge of ISO9001:#####, ISO14001#####5, ISO4500#####18 and Defence AQAP’s.Knowledge of measurement techniques including Metrology, Inspection Methods, and Equipment.The above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required.EXPERIENCEESSENTIALStrong knowledge and experience of supplier development techniquesProven history with in Defence or Automotive of supply chain managementDESIRABLEHND/HNC in
manufacturing/engineering
