Supervising Social Worker

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Supervising Social Worker to work full time for an IFA, working from home, based near Greater Manchester.The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker job is up to £36,000Main Duties:
To supervise foster carersEnsure that all agreements appertaining to the placement are completed and adhered toParticipate in the recruitment and training of foster carers where requiredTo ensure that Credo Care staff and carers are working within the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services 2011Maintain records of placements, i.e. case recording, placement agreements, assessment reports, carer reviews, carer supervision and child progress reportsAttend and participate in childcare reviews, case conferences and other meetings as appropriateLiaise with the managers regarding referrals, matching considerations and meetings and carry out negotiations between Credo Care and placing authorities with respect to the placement of childrenUndertake initial home visit to prospective foster carersTake part in the emergency ‘Out of Hours’ serviceTo be a member of the Credo Care Fostering Panel where neededTo chair social work meetings in the absence of the Regional ManagerAttend social work meetings on a regular basis to share information regarding children in placementSupport the Regional Managers and Director of Care in leading practice and work quality improvementsAssist with the training of foster carers as requiredEnsure that the child’s care plan is carries out in accordance with the requirements of the placing authority and in consultation with the child’s social worker, foster carers, parents as necessaryUndertaking training as and when required

A social Work Qualification or equivalentUnderstanding of relevant legislationContinual professional developmentSocial Work England registered
