We are working with a leading fostering agency in the West Midlands, as they seek an experienced and passionate Social Worker to be a part of their team, operating in the Hereford and Worcester areas. Whether you are currently a Supervising Social Worker or aspire to step into the role, we'd love to hear from you.
Undergoing an exciting transition, including relocating to the Bromsgrove area for better accessibility, this agency provides a vibrant and supportive environment for its team members.
Rated 'good' by Ofsted, they are committed to delivering the highest quality care to children in need.
This position allows for remote work with occasional office visits for team meetings, check-ins with external agencies, and meetings with foster carers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with and advocating for children, nurturing their individuality, and promoting positive development.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding legislation.
  • Supporting and working directly with foster carers to achieve the best outcomes for children in their care.
  • Recruiting and assessing potential foster carers to expand our network.
  • Participating in out-of-hours advice and support services for foster carers.


To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • A proven track record of working on behalf of children, with a genuine commitment to their well-being.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including national minimum standards and fostering regulations.
  • Exceptional administrative and report-writing skills, coupled with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Autonomy and the ability to prioritise effectively in the face of conflicting demands.


This role offers a competitive salary of £40,200.00 per annum, including a car allowance of £4,200.
