Are you currently, or have you recently, taught the GCSE and /or A Level syllabus in either
Science, Mathematics and Computer Science?
**We have a number of positions available and have started interviewing the science specialism so are particularly interested in Maths and Computer Science applications at this point, however are still accepting Science applications.

Landscape
Being part of the Subject Support team at AQA,
you will be pivotal in directly supporting our customers
for Science, Mathematics and Computer Science
and ensure that AQA is the go-to board for your subject.
Subject support is focused on providing better support for all our customers. You will liaise with a wide range of subject stakeholders across the UK and work closely with Product Management to provide invaluable insight about how the products are delivered in the classroom and what matters most to our customers.
Purpose
You will be able to
communicate with our teaching community to support enquiries around our specifications and assessments
in an easy to understand and compelling way.
As an educational professional you will
understand teachers needs and pressures
and feed this into the delivery and support materials and events you are involved with.
In this role you will be able to add real contribution to Educational Reform and influence on subject level policy.
You will provide and deliver support to our customers on
Science, Mathematics and Computer Science
. Providing expertise in one of these areas but willing to support across the
STEM
portfolio subjects.

What you will do as a Subject Support Manager - STEM ?
Handle emailed escalated enquiries from schools and education centres enhancing customer service.
Deliver key messages around STEM to internal and external stakeholders and teachers.
Support teachers to plan and deliver our STEM specifications (Science, Design & Technology, Engineering and Food, Mathematics and Computer Science).
Engage with teachers in the field, using our support materials to enable their continuous improvement.
Act as an Internal consultant for your specialist subject to provide insight and training customer facing teams.
Work with external bodies such as subject associations, Ofqual and the DfE
What you need to succeed?
Experience of teaching GCSE and/or A Level syllabus in your subject specialism within the last 2 years.
Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays on occasion.
Confident and comfortable in communicating/presenting to teachers, parents and students in a clear and empathetic way, handling objections as they arise.
Sound understanding of the assessment processes at GCSE and A-level along with a good understanding of the wider educational landscape.
Ability to articulate key selling points of AQA's full offering effectively.
