Subcontract Manager

I am currently looking speak with a candidate who will take up the position as Subcontracts Manager for our client based in Surrey.

Recently been awarded 5 new energy projects so are looking to add further engineer to their already successful team.

Company Background

Client is a leading engineering and technology company for the energy industry and chemicals sector who are involved in new energy projects as hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the subcontracting management strategy development.
• Implement and perform subcontracting management process.
• Perform negotiation, formation and award of formal subcontracts.
• Ensure administration of subcontracts.
• Protect from claims, disputes, and arbitration.
• Ensure formal assessment of the subcontractors’ performance.
• Ensure proper handling of subcontracts, support documentation and related files.
• Ensure that technical and commercial negotiation evaluations and strategies are carried out promptly.
• Manage & monitor the performance of the team.
• Prepare and provide status and variance reports, estimates/budgets, and risk mitigation plans.

Minimum Requirements

• Min 5 years experience in subcontracting activities.
• Degree engineering or similar.
