Whether it is through our expert instructors, state-of-the-art facilities, or extensive network of industry connections, Victoria College of Arts and Design is dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals and build successful career.VCAD is seeking a Student Support Manager to join our London Team.Job Description:The Student Support Manager will lead our Student Support team, ensuring they provide comprehensive support and guidance to a diverse student population. The Student support team plays a critical role in helping students thrive academically, emotionally, and personally.Reports to: Director of OperationsDuties:Motivate, train, and support the administrative staff of the Student Support Office to ensure continuous delivery of quality service, fostering a team ethos and culture.Provide effective leadership & management for student support team.Act as a source of expertise for VCAD on matters related to student support services.Travel to different campuses for validation events, induction, and training purposes (travel expenses will be provided).Lead existing partner operational meetings, representing our Student support team.Oversee all student inquiry procedures and ensure the Student support staff provides high-quality responses.Personally manage exceptional inquiries as needed.Conduct performance and development reviews for the Student support Team.Provide comprehensive support and guidance to students, addressing their academic and personal needs.Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all procedures and legislation regarding confidentiality and information disclosure, ensuring the Student support team staff is knowledgeable and compliant.Carry out tasks assigned by directors/senior academics when required.Approve holiday and flexitime requests to ensure office coverage and meet demands during peak times.Be flexible with time as many of our campuses will be offering weekend/evening courses. Conditions/Requirements: Experience in team management, handling student special needs queries, and supporting VCAD with administrative tasks.A minimum 2 years’ experience working as student service manager or in similar role in Higher Education is essential.Knowledge of counselling techniques, mental health issues, and crisis intervention strategies.Working in a fast-paced pressurised office environmentEvidence of working with a diversity of studentsExperience in risk assessments and crisis managementPrivate medical (health) insurance with BUPAAnnual leave (5.6 weeks), including bank holidays.Statutory Sick Pay.Statutory
