Structural Steel Erectors

Location UK Wide

Murphy are seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors, to work on our projects throughout the UK.
As a steel erector, you will be responsible for assembling and installing structural steel components on our sites, your expertise and attention to safety will be essential in facilitating the successful completion of various structural steel projects.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work and steel erection requirements.
Coordinate with the site manager, and other team members to plan and schedule the sequence of steel erection activities.
Safely and efficiently assemble and install structural steel components, such as beams, columns, trusses, and girders, bridges, using appropriate tools and equipment.
Ensure accurate positioning and alignment of steel components by following the layout and set out provided by the set-out engineer.
Rig and lift heavy steel components into place using cranes or other lifting equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Monitor and adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to create a safe work environment for yourself and other team members.
Requirements:

5 Years’ Experience in Structural Steel
CSCS or other CITB approved card.
IPAF ( Desirable)
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Valid UK driving licence
Experience of working at heights
Slinger signaller would be advantageous
Telehandler would be advantageous
Willingness to work away from home
Package:

Rates open to discussion
39-hour STD week
45 hours working week.
Time and a half any hours over 39hours.
