BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural Steel
 
In this critical Structural Engineer role you'll be the primary approver for all structural calculations, which will have a significant impact across our business. You'll be responsible for improving the structural design process and efficiencies of our small, but very busy engineering design office.
 
You'll be involved in:
· Creating calculation packs for our world leading Crane and Hoist Systems.
· Carrying out customer site survey visits.
· Communicating effectively with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth order flow.

In short, you'll be the go-to person for anything and all things Structural.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural Steel
 
You're already qualified to degree level or equivalent in Structural Engineering or a related field and have a proven track record of project delivery.
 
You will also:
 
· Be able to create detailed calculation packs and have CAD systems experience to design 2D & 3D Parts and assemblies (Tekla is preferred although not essential as full training will be provided).
· Show confidence in your work when discussing projects with various clients.
· Be able to work from heights on customer site visits.
· Have experience in steel fabrication and a good understanding of the manufacturing process.
