Location: Birmingham city centre, a short walk from either Birmingham Snow Hill or Birmingham New Street Stations
Emtech are working with a successful Civil & Structural Engineer consultancy with (Apply online only) staff who are looking for a Structural Engineer with 2-5 years experience for their team in Birmingham. Working across a range of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Historical Buildings and Defence, they pride themselves on delivering high quality engineering solutions utilising the latest design technologies to ensure that they consistently meet their client's expectations.
Currently working on mid to large scale projects in the UK and internationally, this role sits in a smaller regional office of one of the UK's largest Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancies.
An aspirant working towards chartership would be preferred but is not essential. This role represents an excellent opportunity for someone with talent and drive to be part of our existing team which an accredited IStructE Chartership scheme in place.
Experience required:

• An ability to represent the business to the highest professional standards.
• A track record of producing high quality drawings, sketches, reports, and documents.
• Up to date knowledge of the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes for Structural Design, in Steel, Reinforced Concrete, Timber and Masonry.
• Experience of relevant software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA Engineer, Cads A3D max.
• Effective communication skills to prepare reports and liaise with project team members.
• Ideally you will be progressing towards a professional qualification and are looking for a company to support you.
