We are seeking a qualified Streetworks Operative to work on various projects, including the installation and maintenance of pedestrian crossings. The ideal candidate will hold a valid NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) certification and have experience in streetworks or a related field. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks while adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform streetworks tasks, including excavation, reinstatement, and installation of pedestrian crossings and related infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance with NRSWA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

  • Set up and maintain temporary traffic management systems to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.

  • Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.



Requirements:




  • Valid NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) certification.

  • Proven experience as a Streetworks Operative or in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to streetworks.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid driver's license.
