The Role:
Holland & Barrett are seeking a Strategy & Investments Manager to work directly under our Group Strategy & Transformation Director and the H&B&Me Leadership team. This critical role focuses on the strategic development, fund management, and investment oversight that drive our business forward. Engage with a variety of strategic initiatives and projects that span the entire organization in a hands-on, impactful capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
Collaborate as a strategic partner with various functions to support ongoing and future initiatives. Lead market analysis, including market sizing and competitor strategy reviews, to identify new opportunities for H&B. Develop and manage comprehensive strategic outputs and business cases for new ventures. Development Fund Management:
Assist in defining the Development Fund strategy and operational framework. Evaluate initial proposals for strategic alignment and financial viability. Maintain active engagement with stakeholders to align development initiatives with broader business strategies. Investment Pipeline and Execution:
Build and maintain the pipeline for acquisitions and early-stage investments. Conduct due diligence and coordinate with internal and external parties to execute transactions. Manage post-investment monitoring and reporting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. M&A and Early-stage Investments:
Support the development and implementation of the M&A strategy. Identify and assess potential acquisition targets through continuous market intelligence. Facilitate relationship building with key investment targets and manage stakeholder communications. Location: We have Hubs in Nuneaton and London. However, this is a hybrid role based mainly from our London Hub and we would expect colleagues to be in the office approximately 2 days per week. Occasional travel to other locations may be required. The Person:
Proven experience in strategic planning, investment analysis, or management consulting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to create financial models and conduct market research. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional teams. Experience in managing strategic projects and workshops from conception through to execution. Creative thinker with a critical eye for identifying business opportunities and risks.
