Job Description

Yes, then read on!Role summary:As the Strategy and Transformation Director, you will drive the successful implementation of our strategy to position Badminton England as the most inclusive and accessible sport in England through establishing the principles, standards and framework for effective change delivery and implementation.You will be driving a positive culture, living our values and demonstrating our commitment to equality, diversion and inclusion and safeguarding through your work with others.Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will identify opportunities to deliver the strategy and develop interventions and projects to drive change and ensure that Badminton England is fit for purpose and compliant in all aspects of governance, compliance and business efficiency with particular reference to safeguarding.Responsibilities:- Identify, lead, drive and manage the transformation required to increase participation and become the most inclusive sport through working with the Senior Leadership Team and Board to plan strategically, identify barriers and collectively agree solutions- Ensure the delivery of BE’s strategy and implementation plan with a particular focus on strategies and interventions to ensure equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding through effective working with the EDI and Safeguarding Managers, Senior Leadership Team and Board- Ensure compliance with BE’s articles of association, the Code of Sports Governance and all related and underpinning governance- Develop and drive change to improve our processes, systems, outcomes and capabilities to deliver our strategy- Support and develop the Safeguarding Team to deliver the Safeguarding Strategy for the sport- Manage all transformation projects from start to end, with consideration to how impact will be measured, the resources required, business benefits, timelines, governance impact, risk management and positioning for future financial strength- Ensure transformation projects are delivered on time and within budget and project deliverables are of high quality and follow best business practicesWho we are looking for?- Track record in delivering change management strategies, techniques and programmes- Proven experienced and/or qualified in programme and project management- Proven experience of working at a senior level, managing multiple transformation projects with a range of stakeholders- Experience of translating strategy into delivery through plans, programmes, people and culture- Experience of budgetary responsibility, budget setting and commercial acumenKnowledge and understanding of sports governance and the Code of Sports Governance- Experience of managing governing structures and delivering compliance (not necessarily sport)- Proven track record in high level negotiation, influencing and enabling skills with Boards and Senior Leadership Teams to ensure delivery.- Proven experience in embedding EDI and safeguarding principles into transformational change strategies- Proven track record of delivering a positive culture in the workplaceValues driven person committed to living the BE values of: doing today brilliantly, play for each other, include intentionally, do what matters- Track record in empowering and supporting teams to deliver (remote workers and staff based in offices)- Understanding of BE structures and programmes- Knowledge and understanding of the English sporting landscape- Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office and in particular, spreadsheets word processing, email- Capacity for innovative thinking and introducing new approaches to deliver badminton’s strategic aims- Meticulous attention to detail- Desire and passion to make a differenceKey Information:We're all about output so we have Hybrid working and flexible hours in place - it's a part-time role (21.34 hours per week).The current hybrid working arrangements are at least 1-2 days a week in the office (with the core day being Thursday).Salary: £40,000 - £45,000Application Process:Please send us your CV along with a cover letter explaining why you’re a great fit for the role via our careers hub.
