Strategy and Equalities Officer REF: STRAT00006 Contract type: Permanent Salary: GBP46,041 - GBP49,083 About this job We are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our Strategy and Equalities Team, as a Strategy and Equalities Officer. The Strategy and Equalities Team are a small and dynamic team working in the centre of the organisation, working closely with the Director of Strategy. The purpose of the Strategy and Equalities Officer role is to provide support across a range of corporate priorities, including policy analysis, research, and project support, working with a range of stakeholders across the Council's core and its operational divisions. The team also provide advice and support to the organisation and elected Members in relation to equality and diversity, assist the management and coordination of key governance forums, meetings, and associated processes and provide advice and guidance on consultation and engagement, to drive high quality, timely and meaningful engagement across the organisation. About you Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of strategy development, policy analysis, research and/or project support. They will have experience of consultation and engagement and the role they play in improving the nature of decision-making and in helping strengthen the relationship that the council has with the people it serves. They will have an understanding of equalities and diversity legislation and key issues, and be committed to improving outcomes for our residents. They will be able to communicate in a variety of formats to range of stakeholders and audiences. We want people that embody our organisational values and care about our communities and our borough.
