We are seeking an experienced Strategic Travel Business Development Manager to join a highly successful travel company, working remotely. Our client, a dynamic and forward thinking organisation provides specialist travel solutions to its customers meet their complex travel requirements across the globe.

Strategic Travel Business Development Manager Duties:

* Pro-actively identify the continuous improvement of prospect quality and revenue performance

* Contact and secure new business in the non-profit, event travel and group travel markets by applying consultative sales techniques and by promoting relevant products and services to achieve maximum profitability.

* Identifying and delivering customer solutions that build long term partnership opportunities.

* Investigating industry trends and customer data to identify new prospects and revenue streams.

* Efficiently prospecting for potential new clients using multiple channels including networking, tender sites, and referrals.

* Identify market trends and monitor competitor product and pricing.

Strategic Travel Business Development Manager - Essential Requirements:

* Business Development experience within the travel industry.

* High energy and charisma.

* Ability to confidently interrupt client agenda and gain their buy-in in a short space of time.

* Keen to drive business performance, successful customer solutions, and personal success.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficiency in using MS Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

* Foreign language skills (French, German, Italian, Dutch) – ideal but not essential.

* Applicant must be based in the UK
