Our client, a leading multinational information technology company, is seeking a proactive Software Sourcing Specialist to join their global procurement team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's software sourcing strategy and contribute to their continued success in serving the air transport industry worldwide.
Position Overview
As a Software Sourcing Specialist, you will work closely with the Software Strategic Category lead to develop and execute a world-class strategic sourcing strategy. You will engage with key stakeholders and software suppliers globally, ensuring alignment with central software category plans while creating and maintaining best-in-class global software contracts and commercials.
Responsibilities
Provide proactive procurement engagement on the global software category scope
Collaborate with the Software Strategic Category lead to reduce costs and mitigate risks
Engage with key stakeholders and software suppliers globally from a central group perspective
Create and maintain best-in-class global software contracts and commercials
Negotiate and maintain global software deals and frameworks
Support regions and business leads on new software requirements and central support for bids and new business
Help evolve the software category and explore new ways to source and procure software
Build and maintain world-class relationships with key strategic software suppliers
Constructively disrupt current norms and drive proactive, innovative engagement with the software market
Requirements
Strong experience in ITT / Software procurement experience in a global environment
Proven experience in negotiating global software contracts, frameworks, and terms
Proficiency in contract drafting
Knowledge of software category management and category strategies
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
Digital tools experience and IT literacy
Commercial mindset and numeracy skills
Inquisitive and innovative approach
Change agent mindset with an appetite to drive change and challenge the norm
Degree or MCIPS preferred but not essential
