Within our European Growth & Sales team, we have an immediate requirement for a Strategic Pursuit Managerto lead some of the Europe region’s largest pursuits and opportunities. Our Strategic Pursuit Managersare the guardians of our Relationship Based Sales process – leading process, people, and behaviours to achieve successful growth and sales outcomes for the business. The role exposes you to the heart of the business, sitting at the forefront of delivering on our Strategy and European Roadmap. Your enthusiasm for working as part of a driven and disciplined team, with a motivation to overcome hurdles and obstacles to find solutions is essential to be successful in Growth & Sales. Our team are agile, driven, highly organised, and resilient individuals, focussed on winning work. You will lead the development of win strategies and compelling sales messages, converting these into winning offers for our largest and most strategic pursuits. Working with sales and operations colleagues across all market sectors, this role requires drive, diligence, and a curious, inquisitive nature, challenging our teams to identify innovative solutions to respond to our clients’ and society’s greatest challenges. Challenging Today. Reinventing Tomorrow. The successful candidate will deliver the following responsibilities:
Lead the consistent application of our Relationship Based Sales process to win work. Keep abreast of our clients’ business challenges, best practice, innovation, trends, and new approaches which align with our growth strategy, ensuring you can be a provocateur of thought.
Work with Sales Leads to support strategic positioning and opportunity development.
Forming, leading, and motivating cross-business pursuit teams, establishing the right behaviours to support wellbeing whilst creating high performing teams positioned for success.
Develop innovative solutions by leveraging your network within the business to identify existing capabilities that respond to client challenges and create a distinctive competitive advantage.
Work closely with colleagues in Growth & Sales and operations to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance our customers’ competitive position.
Plan, organise and direct all elements of qualification and tender responses.
Translate win strategies into key themes and produce high-quality response documents with competitive and compelling sales messages to satisfy client business goals, and which comply with our corporate branding and tender requirements.
Apply lesson learnt to drive continual improvement within our sales process.
Here’s what you’ll need: Previous sales experience is desirable, along with a proven ability to lead successful teams on large and/or complex projects. We are looking for people with an ability to challenge and think strategically, who can inspire those around them through strong communication and leadership skills, a passion to win and drive change, and excellent writing ability.
Experienced at working with teams within fast-paced environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to establish and meet deadlines/budgets.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good interpersonal skills to lead and facilitate meetings and workshops and build relationships across Growth & Sales and Operations.
A broad internal network across the business, or an ability to grow a strong internal network across Jacobs.
Experience engaging and working with supply chain partners.
A proactive, self-motivator, able to work under your own initiative.
Potential and drive to grow and develop within Jacobs’ Growth & Sales team.
Work may be required out of core hours, although we try to keep this to a minimum.
