If so, read on…ViiV have a vacancy for a Strategic Pricing Manager on a full-time permanent basis. This role will report into the Head of International Market Access & Pricing at ViiV, and although spanning the whole of International region would have a specific alignment to the Emerging Markets region where you will work closely with the EM Hub Market Access Lead and the wider EM Hub team:Across all Emerging Markets (LATAM, MEA and CIS)Across all ViiV assets across different stages of their lifecycleFrom launch planning, initial access through to life cycle managementFrom national to regional to localKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Pricing: support the International leadership team with insight on the evolution of price as a strategic market access lever across our key markets:Identify key trends in pricing & reimbursement across the International region.Provide input to Regional and Global Market Access & Pricing leads on the evolution of ViiV pricing guidance and policies to deliver our business and mission objectives.International Region Price Governance: the role is pivotal to the Regional Pricing Governance process, maintaining a robust process around price changes/launch prices across the ViiV portfolio, through the analysis of the proposal, to the management of required approvals, working in close partnership with Market Access:Lead and own Pricing Governance capability training and coaching, including running workshops to upskill the markets and encourage best practice.Support markets to prepare price proposals for review at Price Governance meetings, reviewing/challenging Market Access & P&L assumptions.Ensuring soundness of strategic rationale and price consistency between markets, running strategic impact analyses, facilitating international reference price checks, and ensuring accuracy of all data.Preparing and maintaining templates for population by the markets, ensuring all decisions are documented and approvals aligned to the ViiV Pricing Policy.Supporting the bi-annual financial forecasting seasons – PU2 and Plan, focusing on Price inputs and variances.Support the Supranational Organisation price quoting process by ensuring all key checks are made and key stakeholders are consulted.Lead on the Price Certificate process across the International region, responding to requests and ensuring stakeholder are engaged.International Region Price Reporting & Analysis: manage the delivery via a team in the Knowledge Centre (KC) who run the modelling directly:Manage the KC relationship and activity, defining priorities and reviewing outputs, while identifying opportunities to drive improvement and enable the transfer of the core activity to free up capacityLead quarterly Price Governance report for the Region ensuring markets adhere to the ViiV Pricing Policy and quantifying the P&L impact from Hub level decisionsLead quarterly net price check for the International region to ensure consistency in prices along the lines of GNI per capita and volumesLead bi-annual price audit to ensure consistency between ViiV price governance decision making and actual prices in marketWork with the Global Market Access and pricing teams to understand and contribute to their KPI measuresDevelop and interpret pricing KPIs across International to draw conclusions monitoring price effectiveness of approvals (vs achieved) and identifying pricing opportunitiesDevelop proactive analysis, identifying opportunities to drive value through pricing across the International region, identifying markets that could benefit from innovative pricing model to support accessSupport Market Access in the optimisation of launch sequencing across markets by brand, and problem-solving initiatives in specific markets as requiredSupport aligned to the Emerging Markets hub (LATAM, MEA & CIS): partnering directly with the EM hub team this role will be responsible to better understand the needs of the ViiV EM Hub / GSK Alliance Countries. Providing them with the appropriate tools, data and support to optimise access of ViiV assets at national, regional and local (centre) level, driving value throughout the life cycle of all new and current ViiV assets across the region:Contribute to and oversee price and access proposal development, challenging and upskilling the local markets in their strategic rationale and approach, while also facilitating international reference price checks and assessing impact across the referenced markets.Lead on the standard operating process for providing flexible prices in Emerging Markets, driving through simplification and process improvement where necessary to provide a more agile and appropriate process, while ensuring alignment to the Price Governance Policy.Lead and keep an updated database of pricing intelligence for the EM region to support better decision making around new price proposals, while closely assessing potential pricing/contracting risks in key markets and partner to create and execute proactive mitigation strategies and identify potential opportunities.Understand and support pricing strategies that ensure widespread uptake and long-term value for 2DR/DTG portfolio, the Cabotegravir portfolio and innovation pipeline. Work closely with LOCs to secure and maintain local formulary access through payer mapping, segmentation, and tools to support customer decision making.Foster a competitive mindset that looks to identify creative/innovative access and pricing opportunities that drive value across the growing ViiV portfolioWhy You?Basic Qualifications/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent (business, finance, economics, science)Experience in Commercial Analysis and Finance Partnering, Pricing, Market Access or Health EconomicsStrategic mindsetCommercial acumenPharmaceutical industry experience, ideally within the emerging market environmentExcellent business acumen and comfort describing the impact of pricing decisions on the P&L, organisational reputation and future strategy.Demonstrated track record of analysing data, generating insights and designing business interventions to help meet commercial targets.Demonstrated track record as a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and creative, solution-focused approach.Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.Desire to work in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.Ability to prioritise requests from multiple sources / stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications/ExperiencePost Graduate Degree (e.g., MBA, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience.Dealing with offshore teams.Experience working with Emerging Countries, with focus on LATAMSpanish speaking an advantage.Why ViiV?ViiV Healthcare is a global specialty HIV company, the only company that is 100% focused on researching and delivering new medicines for people living with, and at risk of, HIV.
