Stores Person

Stores Person required for this Northampton, Moulton Park NN3 based company.

Full Time , Permanent role

The ideal Stores Person will have goods in and goods out , stock control, material handling experience and will have ideally driven an electric pump truck and hold a valid Counterbalance licence (this is not essential).

Hours 9.00 - 5:30pm Mon - Thurs with a 5 pm finish Fridays.

Computer Literacy and good numeracy are essential to this role as you will be required to work with computers on a daily basis

Duties will include

Goods IN

Checking items ( mainly electronic) making sure they are correct, in saleable condition and the correct amounts.

Entering of serial numbers onto a booking in system.

Moving the items to the relevant location. May require the use of an electric pump truck or forklift.

Picking Packing & Despatch

Printing of a Picking slip and then picking the relevant items (by Item number or description)

Allocating serial numbers (of serialised items)

Packing all the items in a box or bag with packaging making sure they are secure and ready for Finding the correct jobs to be shipped by customer name and job number.

Printing off a Dispatch note.

Entering the shipping address on the DPD courier system and applying the shipping label to the

box.

Checking Emails

Other duties

Post - Franking of mail and taking to the post box

Restocking shelves

Tidy of the stores area, empty bins, sweep the floors etc.

Loading/ unloading the Courier vans with our deliveries

Answering the doors/shutters for deliveries and to other members of staff

This is great job for somebody who is computer literate and wants to work in a Stores, Stock control, Material handling, Goods in/ Goods or a Logistics assistant role
