Are you a skilled Warehouse professional with experience in inventory management? Our client, a global rolling stock manufacturer, is seeking a Stores Operative to join their dynamic team in Leyton, London. ️

✨ About the Role ✨

As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team in their daily operations. You will be responsible for the correct logging, storage, and despatch of materials at the logistics centre, ensuring a smooth flow of inventory. This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to operate electronic stock management systems.

Responsibilities and Skills

In this role, you will:

Utilise the stock management system to maintain accurate inventory control
Receive, inspect, and issue materials, ensuring their proper documentation
Assist technical staff in identifying materials and raising order requests
Pack and assemble materials according to logistical demands
Safely load and unload trucks, following manual guidelines
Conduct regular checks of storage facilities and take corrective action when needed
Collaborate with delivery drivers and address basic parts-related queriesTo excel in this role, you should possess:

Warehouse and/or logistical experience
A valid Forklift Licence (Reach/counterbalance) is beneficial, but previous experience operating a FLT is essential
Strong written and oral communication skills
Good computer literacy and familiarity with stock management systems
