The Company:

The ER Recruitment team are working alongside an award-winning organisation who are going from strength to strength. They design, manufacture and install their own products nation-wide.

To add to their thriving Engineering team, they are seeking a successful Stores Manager who has experience in purchasing and stock management in an engineering environment.
Role & Responsibilities of the Stores Manager- Engineering:

• Managing two engineering stores, ensuring the areas are kept safe, tidy and secure.


• Keep detailed records of stock in all locations, this will also include implementing a new stock control system.


• Liaise with suppliers about deliveries and/or discrepancies in stock.


• Picking and delivering goods.


• Organising and delivering goods from the store to the department that requires it.


• Update inventory management systems regularly.


• Ensure stock levels are adequate to suit demand.


• Purchasing goods as required.

About You as the Stores Manager - Engineering:

• Background in purchasing and stock management in an engineering environment.


• Full UK Drivers licence will be essential, fork lift licence (Counterbalance, Reach or Side-Loader) highly desirable.


• Able to understand machine diagrams.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.


• Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic


• HND in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering is highly desirable.
