The Role
We are looking for a Stores Controller to join our procurement department in Nottingham. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating activities associated with the Goods-In Area, Stores, Purchase Order Processing function and supporting the wider business in ensuring the correct stock is maintained and supplies are ordered and distributed efficiently.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for the organisation and efficient running of the Goods In / Store.
Processing orders (includes checking and amending order detail, consolidating purchase and stock orders, placing and chasing orders with suppliers, liaising with end users etc.)
Providing reports to Finance, as required
Logging, labelling and directing/delivering goods received to end users
Daily scanning and filing of receipts paperwork
Arranging inter-site transfers of goods
Conducting regular physical stock checks
Reviewing usage levels to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
Booking in service orders
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have GCSE (or equivalent) English and Mathematics. You will have previous experience working in a similar stores environment. You will be organised and must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within a fast paced working environment.
