Storage Manager (IBM Z)

12 month contract with potential extensions

Fully Remote
With one of Lorien's top consultancy clients
Storage Management / Engineering background preferred and / or experience to equivalent level
and partnering with vendors (e.g. IBM, DELL, Broadcom)
and / or leading technical management of large infrastructure deployment projects
supporting large-scale enterprise IT environment and the embedded controls within change, incident, and problem management processes
working with Agile working practices and tooling
and awareness of security, audit, risk and compliance within enterprise IT environment
CA skills – in particular, CA-Disk, CA-Vantage and CA-Allocate. This will be a more BAU support role though it will include tuning of those products and potentially helping to reduce our usage of CA-Allocate.
Software Technical Skills
core knowledge: z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, IWS
storage knowledge: DFHSM, DFDSS, ICKDSF, DFSMS (inc OAM), TDMF, GDPS, CSM
(CA): CA1, CA Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate, CA View, Endeavor
Software: T-rex, Terradon
