Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our client who are a specialised machinery manufacturing company in the UK. As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in managing the movement and storage of materials and equipment within their facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment. Stock controller/Stores PersonRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our client who are a specialised machinery manufacturing company in the UK. As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in managing the movement and storage of materials and equipment within their facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment.ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance FLT to unload, load, and move materials and equipment within the warehouse.Receive incoming goods, inspect packages for damages, verify quantities, and accurately record details in the inventory management system.Safely perform physical tasks such as labeling, sorting, counting, and packaging materials as per company standards.Organise and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, organization, and cleanliness.Conduct regular stock checks, highlighting discrepancies or shortages, and update inventory records accordingly.Collaborate with the purchasing and production teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.Assist in preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy of order details, and coordinating with logistics personnel.Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment at all times.Perform general warehouse duties, such as equipment maintenance, stock rotation, and disposal of waste materials.RequirementsValid Counterbalance FLT (Forklift Truck) license is desirableProven experience as a Storeperson or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in an engineering enviroment.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.Physically fit and able to perform manual lifting and movement of heavy items.Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are desirable.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following health and safety regulations.For more information please contact the team at Recra.About Recra ConsultingAt RECRA, we have a drive and passion to establish and build long lasting relationships.
