We are currently recruiting for a Stock Analyst on behalf of our client based in Andover. The Stock Analyst will play a crucial role in reducing costs, improving service levels, and enhancing stored stock productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities:
Analyze product run rate to identify fast, slow, and non-moving products, ensuring optimal stock management.
Utilize stock management software to monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stock discrepancies.
Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast stock requirements and ensure timely replenishment.
Monitor and analyze stock movements, identifying patterns and trends to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.
Identify opportunities to improve stored stock productivity, such as implementing new storage solutions or process improvements.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient stock flow, minimizing bottlenecks and delays.
Analyze supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms to improve cost-effectiveness and service levels.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify slow-moving products and develop strategies to promote sales and reduce stock levels.
Continuously monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities for stock optimization.
Produce regular reports and presentations on stock performance, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
Monday to Friday: 11:30 – 20:00
Salary: £14.90 p/h and then £15.90 p/h after 3 months
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Stock Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Strong knowledge of stock management principles and best practices.
Proficiency in using stock management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
