Statistician / Data Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Research and Chief Economist, this is an opportunity for a Data Analyst with a background in statistics to join a leading trade association, the largest organisation of its type in Europe.The JobThe Research Department is a leading resource of UK industry and economic data that supports evidence-based policy work on members’ behalf and demonstrates the significant economic contribution of sector markets. Key responsibilities.To collate, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative datasets.To use a wide range of statistical techniques as appropriate.To maintain up-to-date and accurate statistical databases and assist in their development.To provide support to the Director of Research and Chief Economist.Undertake any other duties as maybe reasonably required by the Association.Candidate ProfilePrevious experience of data analysis.Previous experience of survey work (desirable, not essential).Previous experience of contributing to research projects.IT experience (MS Office, Advanced Excel Functions including Pivot Tables, R EViews, SPSS).Graduate in Statistics or in a subject with a substantial statistical content.Highly numerate.Self-motivated, confident, and able to work to high standards.
