Job Description:
Operates as an advisor and support to field leadership team to deliver a comprehensive HR service driving capability, significantly improving business performance through coaching and developing the retail leadership teams underpinned by the Starbucks guiding principles.

Job Responsibilities:
Supports HR business partners to identify the root cause of store/district/regional performance issues inc. high turnover, ER issues, addresses and resolves
Provide HR advice, training and support to field leadership teams to enable first line management of basic partner issues & any identified performance concerns.
Ensures HR related programmes and processes are implemented to support productivity, organisational growth and development of partners as part of the people planning process.
Actively manages and provides a consultative service on all ER matters to retail leadership team
Partners with relevant support centre functions to ensure delivery, implementation and embedding of key operational/business initiatives.
Supports recruitment and resource planning for retail teams
First point of contact for all partners with HR concerns and provides expertise and sound judgement
Provides support and day to day management of employment tribunals, relating to paperwork, witness preparation and contact with solicitors and general preparation. Complex concerns to be passed to the relevant HR business partner.
Support cultural, change management and engagement programmes that reinforce Starbucks mission, values and guiding principles (i.e. Partner Experience Survey, Engagement
Advocates and other ad-hoc projects as required).
Works with HR business partners to support succession planning and mid/end of year talent discussion for retail operations.
Supports HR business partners to analyse key metrics, identify trends and create action plans to improve business performance and drive partner engagement.
Participates in the delivery and design of HR policies and training as required, in order to support the development of management practises, skills and knowledge. Coaches managers to support them in dealing with all people related issues. Supports the HR team by providing regular HR/ER updates
Job Requirements:
Proven confidence to challenge line managers on key HR business decisions and actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of effective consultation with management
Demonstrated excellent customer focus, with a pro-active, mature, positive, action-orientated, and ‘can-do’ attitude.
Strong professionalism understands confidentiality and acts with integrity in all dealings.
TUPE experience
CIPD qualification (part or fully qualified) desirable.
Ability to work in changing environments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience working in a medium sized, fast-paced, multi-site operation, supporting a business unit/region/division, and as part of a broader HR team member.
Intermediate / advanced MS Office suite experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Sound knowledge of employment law
Demonstrated strong organisational skills, a commitment and ability to follow tasks through to completion, the ability to work in a methodical and detailed manner, whilst managing and prioritising multiple and sometimes conflicting tasks.
