Staffing Manager

Posted a month ago

We are looking for a Staffing Manager to join our client who work with some of the most prestigious names within the automotive industry. They work on a wide variety of events from between £10,000 up to £1million pound projects – all of which are staffed by the A players in their game.
With freelance staff being such a crucial part of making the events great, it’s imperative the Staffing Manager in charge of the process hits the mark, every time. You will work closely with your team, the project managers and senior management to ensure the freelance workers are booked for the correct dates, they have accommodation, and their travel is sorted. As you can imagine, this takes huge levels of planning and organization as even one incorrect date can throw off an entire project.
You will be a natural communicator as the role also includes liaising with clients, some of which are the most prestigious names in the automotive sector. You will be speaking about projects, how things are progressing, but mainly about managing staffing logistics (which as you will know, is complex). You will need to able to cope with high workload levels, in a fast-paced environment, as you can do anywhere from 50-300 bookings every single day, across multiple projects.
There are great opportunities to develop and grow the staffing department wider than just being an internal database for their own projects. We want you to run this department with an agency mindset and promote the opportunity for other external agencies to come to you for specialist staffing support throughout the automotive sector for their own projects, driving growth and success for the business and increasing our brand visibility through platforms like social media.
You will have a small team to help manage and achieve each project and these business goals. They will work alongside you and provide ongoing support, account management and onboarding of existing and new staffing personnel. You will also organise and manage the training of your freelance staff through their own career progression working alongside the Training Development Manager to create these individual programmes.
This is a global company with the European head office in Banbury, just off the M40, you will spend most of your time here, but there is a very sensible approach to hybrid working.
You’ll start on around £35,000 – £45,000 depending on your experience. Benefits include 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays and healthcare, too.
If you are interested or want to know more, call me, send me a message, DM (Sammy Barrett) or e-mail – whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
