Staff Nurse

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our Teenage Cancer Trust Unit, caring for young people aged 13-19 years.You must be a band 5 nurse (paediatric or adult) with a desire to work in adolescent haematology/oncology. You will have the opportunity to share and develop knowledge and skills in caring for a range of solid tumours and haematology cancers.Main duties of the jobYou will care for patients undergoing a range of treatments including bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The unit has a group of dedicated nurses who aim to make the unit a pleasant environment. We thrive on team work and are the finalist for the teamwork award in the trust. UCLH was the first hospital in the UK to develop a teenage cancer unit in 1990 and remain the biggest inpatient unit in Europe. Since then, the TYA service has grown in size, activity and complexity and enjoys international recognition.
