Salary: £31,900 - £37,455

This Hospital is a 21-bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation facility located in Leeds. We provide active and positive engagement for males aged 18 years and over who experience a range of mental health disorders.



We are embarking on an exciting development of two bespoke therapeutic service areas, which will be attached to the hospital. This expansion requires us to grow our nursing team, and we are seeking dedicated registered nurses to join our dynamic and enthusiastic nurse leadership team.

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will be part of an effective Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will promote the best interests of the clients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care is consistently implemented. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe care environment, exercising professional judgment, accountability, and responsibilities. You'll use your professional skills, knowledge, and expertise in a changing environment and work within the scope of professional practice.



Responsibilities:




  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.

  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care with the patient and their carer/family, considering patient choice and wishes, acting as the patient’s named nurse.

  • Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.

  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient conditions and needs.

  • Address suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers proactively and effectively.

  • Contribute to a team approach to patient care with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

  • Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested.

  • Prioritize nursing duties and delegate appropriately within the shift coordination framework, working as nurse in charge when required.

  • Maintain personal professional development in accordance with preceptorship and revalidation.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests, enquiries, and suggestions.

  • Promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of patients/relatives and carers.

  • Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least monthly.

  • Serve as a "Preceptor" to newly qualified staff.

  • Ensure compliance with the Mental Health, Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Standards.

  • Adhere to Medicines Management policies at all times.

  • Follow organizational policies and protocols, and adhere to the NMC code.
