Staff Accountant

Your responsibilities will include:Monthly and year-end closings: Perform essential tasks such as bank reconciliation, review of accounts payable and accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and P&L analysis.Internal reporting: Generate and distribute financial reports throughout the monthly close, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.External audits: Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, assisting with their requests and ensuring compliance.Journal entries: Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries under minimal supervision, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.Ledgers and schedules: Update depreciation, amortization, and inventory ledgers and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.Ad-hoc reporting and special projects: Contribute to various financial analysis projects and assist with ad-hoc reporting requests, providing valuable insights to support business initiatives.Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting: Possess a strong educational foundation in accounting principles and practices.2+ years of accounting experience: Demonstrate a solid background in accounting operations, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.1+ years QuickBooks experience: Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required.E-commerce exposure (Preferred): Experience in e-commerce accounting would be advantageous, as it aligns with our company's investment focus.Strong knowledge of GAAP: Display a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application.Strong verbal and written communication skills: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, conveying complex financial information clearly and concisely.Join our team of professionals and seize this exceptional opportunity to expand your accounting expertise and contribute to the success of our investment company.
