Permanent - Fully remote with SSAS or SIPP Property experience

Main purpose of the job As a dedicated member of our SSAS and Property team, you will undertake day-to-day administration work processing requests with vigilance and caution whilst going the extra mile. You will support our client and adviser needs with the highest professional standards and ensure all aspects of the role are met by following our brand and company guidelines. This role involves dealing with various internal teams and departments but importantly with external entities such as financial advisers, investment providers, and members on a regular basis. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in administration. Prior experience working in a SSAS and/or SIPP property role would also be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be diligent in their work, possesses strong inter-personnel communication skills, have aptitude to learn, be focused and committed, and someone who is comfortable working with numbers and can contribute towards the continuous betterment of the team.

Main responsibilities of the role: As a member of the team, you will be expected to:

* Process incoming requests from advisers and members via email and telephone

* Have timely communication with the advisers and members to notify them of any issues with their request

* Ensure all communications and processes are dealt with within SLA

* Ensure all requests are tracked till completion

* Deal with various investment providers with respect to investment valuations

* Build relationships with our advisors and clients and deliver exceptional communication and service.

* Provide support to SSAS and Property Specialist and Manager with any adhoc tasks that are required

* Provide support to other teams as requested by your manager which may not be related to your core day-to-day activities

* Share knowledge with the team

* Managing end-to-end administration for SSAS and SIPP property schemes

* Managing all aspects of SSAS and property administration and managing incoming queries and requests

* Dealing with queries from surveyors, lenders and solicitors on a regular basis

* Dealing with full property and pension administration including purchases, sales, transfers, and change of ownerships

* Completing VAT registration and returns

* Calculating borrowing on property purchases

* Contribution processing including identifying payments over the AA

* In-specie contributions

* Processing and calculating pension benefits

* Payment of benefits and monitoring ongoing pension benefit cases

* Death benefit calculations

* SSAS establishment and takeover

* Year-end accounts for schemes

* HMRC pension scheme returns

* Loans to employers and third parties

* Processing payments for property invoices and fee payments

* Process incoming and outgoing post

Key skills: Ability to carry out the following duties:

* Fluent and positive written and verbal communication outcome with internal as well as external entities

* Excellent numerical and customer service skills

* Aptitude to learn and adapt new skills, processes, systems and tasks

* Good computer literacy and be able to use key productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook efficiently

* Work with diligence in a timely manner and at times go the extra mile to achieve a positive outcome

* Ability to self-organise and prioritise the workload, track and see tasks through completion while making sure deadlines are met

  • Hours of work: your hours of work will be 35 hours per week, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. These will be worked between 9am to 5pm, including one hour for lunch (unpaid) each day
  • Holiday: 25 paid holidays plus paid bank holidays
  • Hybrid working: considered after successful probation; 3 days office, 2 days WFH
