We are strategic thought partners who represent the "voice of the customer," driving concrete insight-based strategic recommendations and enhancing Commercial decision-making.Pfizer is seeking a Senior Leader to lead its Market Research Insights organization for US & Global Primary Care Business Unit, and to have ownership and accountability for the insights strategy for the Pfizer Brand and all Chief Marketing Office Priority Initiatives, in service of achieving the Corporate Blueprint Goal of making Pfizer the most trusted health brand. The MRI Primary Care Business Unit & Pfizer Brand Lead will partner with the U.S. Primary Care Business Unit President, Global Primary Care Business Unit lead and the Chief Marketing Officer and their senior leadership teams to shape strategy and power a world-class commercial engine, and to ensure the best HCP, patient, and customer experiences.The MRI Primary Care & Pfizer Brand lead heads an organization that drives strategy for the 19 Global and US priority brands and assets in the Primary Care Business Unit, advances insights-based organizational decision-making, and drives strategy for the Pfizer Brand and CMO priority initiatives. This leader will have accountability across the Primary Care Business Unit (US & Global), the Pfizer Brand, and CMO priority Initiatives, with accountability for 40-60M in market research budget and oversight of an organization of 20-24 colleagues.The successful candidate will partner with US & Global Primary Care Business Unit and CMO leadership to identify strategic needs, develop research plans, manage the portfolio of research initiatives, and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to commercial leadership. They will have exceptional consultative skills and will be able to influence at all levels, from reports to peers to executive level, with a proven ability to align cross-functional stakeholders. This person is a strong collaborator, an expert in market research, accomplished in cultivating and developing talent, and an inspiring change and people leader. The successful candidate is a champion of innovation who is energized by a fast-paced environment, confident taking appropriate risks to drive change and take on complex challenges, and comfortable with a high degree of ownership as we expand and transform our capabilities.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership and Transformation:Lead and motivate an organization of high-performing cross-category market research leaders and thought partners embedded within US and Global brand product teams to achieve business objectives in alignment with brand and CMO goals.Cultivate a strong talent base and identify longer-term development needs for Market Research Insights.Partner with MRI leadership to elevate and expand our capabilities and offerings and build a best-in-class function.Champion the vision of the Market Research Insights team and promote knowledge sharing across business units and US/Global.Leverage industry knowledge to anticipate business needs and advance market research capabilities to maximize impact on the organization.Manage and prioritize OpEx and market research budgets, timelines, and resources, including identifying innovative solutions to champion cost savings without compromising research quality.Develop and maintain relationships with external research partners and vendors.Strategic and Business Impact:Lead an organization that shapes US and Global market research strategy aligned with Primary Care Business Unit brands' business priorities.Partner with US & Global Primary Care Business Unit and CMO senior leaders to establish priorities, influence business plans, and drive insight-based decision making for the 19 Primary Care brands and assets at the Business Unit level.Drive US and Global business impact by delivering insight-based recommendations to Primary Care Business Unit and CMO Senior Leadership (VP and Executive Level) and the Primary Care business.Engage with US & Global Primary Care Business Unit Commercial leadership on portfolio strategy, above-brand initiatives, and CMO priority Primary Care initiatives.Share best practices with business units within MRI and across CAAI.Shape US and Global market research strategy aligned with Pfizer Brand and CMO Priority Initiatives in service of achieving the Blueprint Goals and making Pfizer the Most Trusted Healthcare Brand.Partner with Pfizer Brand and CMO senior leaders to establish Pfizer Brand priorities, influence business plans, and driveinsight-based decision making to support the CMO/ELT vision of moving to a "branded house" business model from a "house of brands" business model.Drive US and Global business impact by designing and leading analytic plans and delivering insight-based recommendations to senior leadership (VP and executive level) on Pfizer Brand, CMO, and cross-functional teams around Pfizer Brand and CMO Priority Initiatives.Be accountable for designing and managing performance measurement and delivery of regular assessments of Pfizer Brand consumer and HCP outreach efforts' performance to Chief Marketing Officer and CMO senior leadership.Professional Characteristics:Inspiring change and people leader : Extensive experience managing and developing people and teams, including managing through significant organizational change, to help develop self and others and live into the vision of MRI. Ability to synthesize information into the critical points and focused recommendations needed to drive decisions, and to communicate complex information in a straightforward manner, including ability to adapt style to various audiences.QualificationsAt least 15 years of experience as an insights professional, with progressive levels of responsibility leading teams.Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred (in marketing, market research or related field preferred but not required).Extensive experience managing and developing people and teams, including managing through change.
