As a Barclays SQL Developer, you will support with various project initiatives while working with your peers in London and Prague. Reporting to the development team lead in London, you will be responsible for maintaining back-end development and providing an interface with Barclays systems, ensuring that appropriate and efficient reporting is provided for the front office business. What will you be doing?
Working with colleagues across multiple locations including London and Prague
Providing expert advice to the business, delivering project deliverables
Supporting with the co-ordination and integration of Barclays systems to allow for stable front office reporting
Working to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment
Ensuring that all work carried out is in line with Barclays policies and standards
Developing websites using react/angular along with Redux and UI component libraries
What we’re looking for:
Extensive experience in SQL Server (2017 and above) development including designing, optimising and maintaining a transactional system
Proficient in writing efficient functions, stored procedures and complex database queries using T-SQL
Making performance improvements to optimise database queries
Competence in standard tool set: Source control GIT, DevOps continuous integration, Scheduling, Jira, Scripting (Batch, PowerShell, Python), Autosys
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of C#, WPF / XAML / MVVM, .NET 4.5
Experience of WPF DevExpress Controls, Web API
